Periodic care for hard floors and carpet
Routine vacuuming and mopping remove surface dirt. Over months, foot traffic wears through the finish on hard floors and pushes soil deep into carpet. Periodic floor care restores the surface, protects it, and helps your flooring last longer.
Not every floor takes the same treatment. At the walkthrough we look at your floor types and traffic, then recommend what each area needs and how often. If a floor needs care we don't provide, we'll tell you.

How often floors usually need care
Traffic is the main factor. A busy lobby or clinic hallway needs attention far more often than a private office.
| Service | What it does | Typical frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Burnishing and polishing | Restores shine to existing finish | Monthly to quarterly |
| Strip and wax | Replaces worn finish with fresh coats | Once or twice a year |
| Carpet extraction | Lifts soil from deep in the fibers | Once or twice a year; busy areas more often |
| Spot treatment | Removes spills and stains | As needed |
Starting points only. We recommend a schedule for your floors at the walkthrough.
Can floor care be done after hours or on a weekend?
Yes. Stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction are usually scheduled in the evening or over a weekend so floors are ready before you open.
How soon can people walk on the floor?
Freshly waxed floors and extracted carpet both need several hours to dry. We schedule the work so drying time falls outside your business hours and tell you when the area is ready.
Do I need a recurring cleaning contract?
No. Floor care is available as a one-time project or as part of a recurring janitorial program.
Who moves the furniture?
We agree on that at the walkthrough: which furniture our crew moves and what your team should clear, such as personal items and anything fragile.
Which floors can you strip and wax?
Most commonly vinyl composition tile (VCT), the tile used in many offices, clinics, and schools. Other floor types need different care, and we'll tell you at the walkthrough what your floors need.
